Juice Fasting Success!

Is complete!  I have moved on to the 5 Day program!  I didn't know it but it has solid food.  Who Knew
I weighed in this morning at 148.8!

Yes this is soo encouraging!!
 Here are my meals for today.....tonight its off to trader joes!




Wake Up (Very Important, lol)
16oz of herbal non caffeinated tea with stevia.  The suggest stevia..yay
16oz of plain water

Pre Gym Smoothie

After Gym: Juice
-Spinach-Blackberries-Strawberries

Mid- Morning Snack
-2 Apples
-1/2 Blackberries
-3 TSB Yellow raisins
-1 TSB Cinnamon
-1/2 Nutmeg

Lunch
-Arugula
-Spinach
-1/2 Avocado
-1 tomato
-1/4 jicama
-1/4 red onion

Juice- Spinach-Blackberries-Strawberries

Afternoon Snack
I made Guacamole and I will eat it with cucumber instead of chips.

Before I go home food.
-Steamed Okra
-Steamed Corn.

Day 2

I got no sleep.
 I woke up at 1:34am and stayed up to about 5:20am.  Laid back down up again by 7:45!  Ack!  Funny thing I feel ok I just know I should have been sleep, lol.  In fact I feel great!  Hmm..... interesting obervation.

Weigh-In: 150.3


Can't complain today I am having no issues.

This was superb...notice its all sweets though....yay for natural sugars!! After the night before I needed a pick me up.  
Now what is interesting is even though I didn't get a bunch of sleep I was ALERT all day!  I feel vibrant!

Just gotta get used to it!

      I had  a great day today.  This one is soooo pretty and it tastes great!  Now I have noticed that most of the meals plans show eating 5 times a day.  I am only doing 3 as I don't feel hungry.  Does anyone know if this is a bad thing?  I am also trying to distinguish the difference between hungry and just eating.  I stayed busy over the weekend as I normally do but I was really trying to be consciously aware of what my body was telling me.
     Its back to the office tomorrow so tonight I will do all my food prep since I will be using Nutribullet and not the Jack Lelanne juicer.  
I did some research to see if I could make my juice before hand and this is what I found on the reboot with Joe website.

Make a double batch of juice, have a dose of fresh juice right away, then store the rest for your meals later that day or the following day. This will help ensure you get the most potent juice possible for at least one serving.
The best ways to store your juice are:
  • For 24-48 hours in the fridge (72 hours is maximum time suggested)
  • In an airtight container, preferably glass but BPA-free plastic works too
  • Seal tightly and fill to the top to prevent oxygen from getting in
  • In a dark, cool environment away from heat and light
  • Bring a cooler along if you’ll be away from a fridge
  • Don’t leave your juice in the car especially on a really hot or really cold day
  • Freezing is also an option but less desirable than refrigeration. If you do freeze your juice do it immediately after juicing. Thaw in the refrigerator and drink within 7-10 days of freezing.

I DO NOT LIKE IT! There I said it.  I do not like water....never have.  whew got that out of my system.  Anyone see an attitude adjustment needed.

Water Facts

The human body is more than 60 percent water. ....NOT MINE....LOL
Blood is 92 percent water.
The brain and muscles are 75 percent water...That Explains it
Bones are about 22 percent water.

Those are the words used to describe how I felt this morning before my juice fast began.

What the heck is a juice fast????
I have wanted to switch to a plant based diet for sometime.....now is the time.  Check out the documentary, Hungry for Change.  Amazing.  Back to juice fasting watch Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead with Joe Cross. You can watch it free on Hulu!  You will understand Juice Fasting.  I am juicing so that I can detox and begin my new way of eating.

I am using a Jack Lemanne Juicer at home and a Nutribullet at the office.

Meal 2: Mean Green Juice


Not sooo bad but I totally could tell the difference without the fruit...missing the evil sweetness I have come to love.

Meal 3:  Citrus Inspired Green Juice
Ok this was the toughest.  I left the peel on all but one...TOO MUCH.  I feel like I want to Karate chop someone.  Bubble Bubble Toil in Trouble....I can hear my stomach on the outside of my body.  I want the air to Shut UP!!!  Mental right well that's about how I feel I am mad at everything!  I feel really grouchy and terrible..angry..for no reason.  Where is my tea!!!!!  Darnit.  The meal plan says have herbal tea ...I long for this because its familiar.  I don't like fruity herbal teas they taste like cough syrup.  I like English Breafast Tea, and Earl Gray....my Fave.   Guess what????  After juicing all day that Pomegranate tea taste like STEAK....LOL...I am happy...partially still mad but rejoicing...oh tea I love u so even if its fruity.  Well I am going to bed before I extend my wrath on mankind and my dog.  

Day 2 is on the rise.
